#478 What Was From the Beginning

What God Purposed For Himself From The Beginning.

Why God Restored The Earth And Created Man.

(1John 1:1) What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we beheld and our hands handled, concerning the Word of Life-- 2 and the life was manifested, and we have seen and bear witness and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us-- 3 what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, that you also may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things we write, so that our joy may be made complete. 5 And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.

Understanding “What Was From the Beginning” will certainly help us understand and relate to what God has determined for man when he was created and how that fits into God’s Eternal Purpose and the summation of all things. This will also help explain how God will use the perfected church that has become the New Species of Man (CHRIST) in His Eternal Government!

In the Beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The Word that was from the beginning is identified by John this way; concerning the Word of Life-- 2 and the life was manifested, and we have seen and bear witness and proclaim to you the eternal life. The Word, which was with God and which is God is Eternal Life or the Life of the Father, and is called the Living Word of God. This Living and Abiding Word of God is also called the Sperma (semen or seed) of God. All this was from the beginning. To determine which “beginning” this is speaking of, we may have to begin in the world before this one. Since God, [Father, Word and Holy Spirit], [the One God], has no beginning and no ending, He has always existed so we cannot speak of the beginning of God. Therefore, we must speak of the beginning of the creations of God. Why? Because it is quite obvious there have been other creations, other than this one, in which we live.

The Bible indicates that this creation in which we live began about six thousand years ago. However, archeology and science have discovered other civilizations that are thousands of years older than this creation. Therefore, we can speculate that there were other creations and civilizations before this one. It is my opinion that the Bible is NOT silent about this other creation before this one that is recorded in Genesis 1.

For that reason we will begin this enquiry into the creation immediately before this one. Were there creations before that one? Maybe, but that is irrelevant to our existence now. Still, the creation just before this one has much to do with us and the Bible indicates that one of the reasons we exist in this creation is to solve the problems left by the creation before this one. If this supposition is true, the church should be evaluated by whether they are fulfilling the original purpose of God or just living for themselves. We hope to focus upon what God purposed for HIMSELF in the creation. Since this may be a new thought for some, I will try to enlarge on that theme later.

My thesis for this study will be that this creation must solve the problems left by the last creation.

Why should we be concerned about that creation? Because the Bible includes that creation in its context as it applies to this creation. God has enemies and revengeful personalities or adversaries from that former creation that must be dealt with and judged by this creation. Why? Because these enemies of God have appeared in this creation to stop the purpose of God and to delay their own final judgement! For that reason God has created man to deal with and judge these enemies of God. God will develop and manifest these mature sons who will be equipped to judge these enemies of God from that former creation. These will be those who grow up into Christ and OVERCOME during their lifetime in this creation. The Book of Judges may help us realize this role of man in the Purpose of God! When we look at the history of the visible church for the last 1700 years, it is apparent that Satan and his army have been very successful in keeping the church in a comatose state and unaware of this calling and commission to deal with God’s enemies. Will Jesus return before this happens? That is not likely! Why? Because that IS one of the purposes for this creation!

This study will address these two creations and how they converge to prepare a ruling Government for the next creation and its civilization which are called the Tabernacle of God and the World yet to come. The government for that next creation is called the Kingdom of God and its Government will be overseen by a Kingdom of Priests after the Order of Melchizedek. From this synopsis we will speculate that this creation of man must deal with and judge the enemies of God from the last creation and prepare a perfected and experienced Government for the next creation!

We will begin within the supposition that God’s enemies must be dealt with by the saints in this creation.

Psalm 8:2 From the mouth of infants and nursing babes Thou hast established strength, Because of Thine adversaries, To make the enemy and the revengeful cease. Psalm 8:4 What is man, that Thou dost take thought of him? And the son of man, that Thou dost care for him?

These adversaries, the enemies and the revengeful, were already present when God created the first man, Adam. Satan was present during the creation of the first man, Adam. We can certainly assume these other enemies were present also. Since they preceded the creation of man it is assumed they already existed from the creation before this one. If they already existed before man, they must have been on the earth before this one was restored. A careful reading should reveal that it was because of the adversaries that man was created. Not only that but man was created to deal with the enemies and the revengeful and somehow make them stop what they are doing!

How do we know that the New Covenant saints will be charged with dealing with God’s adversaries and to cause the enemies and revengeful to cease before the next creation? This is suggested by the Book of Hebrews as it brings this situation into the New Covenant dimension. Here he is dealing with the creation of man and how man relates to the world yet to come. There is also the suggestion that the angels were in charge of the world before this one but they obviously failed to faithfully rule over their responsibility and were set aside from that position. For that reason they will not be given another opportunity to rule over or participate in the next world. This even suggests that man will judge the failure of the angels from the former creation. It also suggests that the church MUST be faithful in carring out her responsibilities to do the will of God. Why? God has purposed to deal with the last creation through this creation.

Heb 2:5 For He did not subject to angels the world to come, concerning which we are speaking. 6 But one has testified somewhere, saying, “WHAT IS MAN, THAT THOU REMEMBEREST HIM? OR THE SON OF MAN, THAT THOU ART CONCERNED ABOUT HIM? 7 “THOU HAST MADE HIM FOR A LITTLE WHILE LOWER THAN THE ANGELS; THOU HAST CROWNED HIM WITH GLORY AND HONOR, AND HAST APPOINTED HIM OVER THE WORKS OF THY HANDS; 8 THOU HAST PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET.” For in subjecting all things to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him. But now we do not yet see all things subjected to him.

Heb 2:9 But we do see Him who has been made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. 10 For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings.

God will NOT subject the next world to angels! Why? The angels destroyed their world. How? The creation before this one was subjected to the dominion of angels and Satan was the ruling prince of that creation and its civilization. However, Satan, because of his great ego and misplaced ambition, rebelled against the Government of God and tried to establish his own dominion over heaven.

This rebellion and the verdict against him are revealed in Isaiah 14 and in Ezekiel 28. Satan already had dominion over the earth and had access to heaven and even to the recesses of the north. This indicates Satan had access to Mount Zion, on the sides of the north. By his rebellion against God, he became an adversary or opponent or one who stands against God. These enemies of God are those who followed Satan in his rebellion along with the revengeful who must be dealt with by this current creation of man, of whom the first Adam is the father. However, for the first 4000 years of man’s history this did not worked out well! These three enemies are identified by their manifestations.

H6887 צרר tsârar tsawrar’ A primitive root; to cramp, literally or figuratively, transitively or intransitively: adversary, (be in) afflict (ion), besiege, bind (up), (be in, bring) distress, enemy, narrower, oppress, pangs, shut up, be in a strait (trouble), vex.

H340 איב ‘âyab aw-yab’ A primitive root; to hate (as one of an opposite tribe or party); hence to be hostile: - be an enemy.

H5358 נקם nâqam naw-kam’ A primitive root; to grudge, that is, avenge or punish: - avenge (-r, self), punish, revenge (self), X surely, take vengeance.

To Make the enemies and revengeful to Cease --Strongs # H7673 שÑבת shâbath shaw-bath’ A primitive root; to repose, that is, desist from exertion; used in many implied relations (causatively, figuratively or specifically): - (cause to, let, make to) cease, celebrate, cause (make) to fail, keep (sabbath), suffer to be lacking, leave, put away (down), (make to) rest, rid, still, take away.

We could sum this up by saying God created “man” to deal with those who oppose God! These have become His enemies, who hate God and are hostile to Him! Man was created to make this multitude of adversaries to stop what they are doing and judge them, preparing for the final judgement or destruction. This seems to be one of the primary reasons that God created man and the very reason that God began with a creation much lower than the creation of angels. If a lower creation is successful in walking in obedience to God and fulfilling God’s eternal purpose, no fallen angel, enemy or demon will have a valid voice of complaint when they are judged by man and sentenced by God.

1Cor 6:2 Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you not competent to constitute the smallest law courts? 3 Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, matters of this life?

God began this creation with a “man” who was very much lower than the angels. However, “man” was designed to grow to a stature and perfection that will enable him to do the will of God and walk in obedience to God. His obedience will qualify him to judge the world system of this creation and the angels and all of God’s enemies of both this and the last creation who were disobedient to God.

Our thesis must include the destruction of the former creation and the end of the civilizations that were on the earth at that time! Somewhere in the history of the creations Satan destroyed the world over which he ruled. The earth trembled when it was reduced to a submerged mass of water soaked earth. However, up until Calvary neither Satan nor the angels were able to be fully judged and sentenced because NO created being was able to walk in full obedience to God.

Isa 14:12 “How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations! 13 “But you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, And I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north. 14 ‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’

Isa 14:15 “Nevertheless you will be thrust down to Scheol, To the recesses of the pit. 16 “Those who see you will gaze at you, They will ponder over you, saying, ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms, 17 Who made the world like a wilderness And overthrew its cities, Who did not allow his prisoners to go home?’

At first appearance it seems clear that for a created man to deal with such an experienced and skillfully powerful enemy is an unreasonable assignment for man. This seems to be a calling much too difficult for any man made of dirt. That is correct! That is why the creation of the first Adam failed to deal with God’s enemies. They were deceived by Satan and fell from their original creation and became just men of flesh! They were destroyed in their calling by Satan, the destroyer. All the following generations of Adams {flesh men} are still being destroyed in their calling by the destroyer! This is also the very reason that everyone who is qualified to deal with God’s enemies must be born from above and be of the same species as Jesus who was victorious over the enemies of God. Now the prince of this world has already been judged by Jesus. Since Calvary God is raising up many sons whom He will bring to glory and who are qualified to judge each of the fallen angels, the adversaries, the enemies and the revengeful.

John 12:31 “Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world shall be cast out.

John 14:30 “I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me;

John 16:11 and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.

God’s method for judging Satan is complete. He did that through His Son, Jesus Christ! Now God is focusing upon the angels and other enemies that rebelled along with Satan. God will judge the angel’s disobedience through the obedience of the Lampstand Church and priesthood after the Oder of Melchizedek. These are obedient sons which He will also bring to the higher glory attained by Jesus. Jesus is the High King / Priest of this eternal order of King / Priests after the Order of Melchizedek.

We should NOT think of this as too difficult or impossible because God has set in motion a complete plan to fulfill His eternal Purpose IN MAN so He can fulfill it THROUGH MAN. God WILL obtain something for HIMSELF inn this creation! Ignoring His total provision for us to complete His purpose is a terrible mistake that will change our eternal destiny. Since the natural (unchanged man) cannot begin in this race, it is clear that only the new creation man can fulfill God’s Purpose and bring joy to His heart! This IS the exact reason the Word which is The Eternal Life of God became flesh in Jesus. This also is the reason the Eternal and Living and Abiding Word provides the Sperma to cause us to be born again as a new species upon the earth. It is ONLY the new species of man that will be equipped to deal with Satan, the adversaries, the enemies and the revengeful and to cause them to cease their activities. It is the fully developed new species man, who walks in full obedience, that will be qualified to judge these enemies of God for their disobedience.

It is for this reason that ALL the efforts of the church functions should be focused upon the development of the new inner man which after Christ was created in the image of God. Why? Only the New Creation Man can ever deal with God’s adversaries and make His enemies and the revengeful to cease. How do we know that? Because the old creation man was helpless to deal with God’s enemies for the four thousand years of that dispensation. God’s adversaries just continued to rule over the earth without interference by the natural men of Adam’s race! In fact the natural men of Adam’s race became slaves of Satan to do his will.

Our thesis assumes that there was a creation before this one that ended before this one started. Obviously that creation ended long before what is referred to as “before the foundation of the world” or “before the world was.” That creation before this one was destroyed by water.

2Pet 3:5 For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water, :6 through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. 7 But the present heavens and earth by His word are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

The reason we apply this creation that was destroyed to the one before this one is that the “present heavens and present earth” are the same ones that were here in Noah’s time so this cannot be referring to that flood. This indicates that the creation before this one was destroyed by water. That former earth ( before this one) was formed out of water and created by water. However, in Genesis one this earth was already formed but was submerged in water. Therefore, God removed the water and this earth once again became dry ground.

Gen 1:9 Then God said, “Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that it was good.

It seems that this present earth was not created at that time in Genesis 1 but was restored after it was destroyed during a previous creation. The former earth must have been submerged in water when God destroyed it. All the beings, including Satan and the fallen angels, including the animals and cities that existed on the earth, were rendered helpless by the water at that time. These adversaries, the enemies and the revengeful were sunk into the deep but obviously were once again allowed to roam around on the earth after it was restored to dry ground.

I will copy and paste some data from a study on the creation that I did about 20 years ago. This data should clarify some misunderstanding of Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2 when we examine three Hebrew words dealing with the creation. This I will insert here.

In my Bible, Genesis 1:1 is made up of just 10 words. GEN 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. This is just a stated fact but within these 10 words is the unfolding of the first truth. In the beginning refers to the eon of ages past. The number of years are not important. God created means that God made something out of nothing or at least not out of any thing that is visible. Since God is the ultimate Creator, whatever He creates is perfect. He doesn’t create any thing slipshod or just throws something together for the time being. What He created was “the heavens” and “the earth”. This is important because what God restored in the next verses was just the earth and not the heaven.

This fact hinges of on divinely given specific words. The word used in Geneses 1:1 for created is “bara” in the original. This word is used 3 more times in Geneses 1 and Geneses 2. The other times are GEN 1:21 And God created ( bara) the great sea monsters, and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good. GEN 1:27 And God created ( bara) man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. GEN 2:3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created ( bara) and made. ( asah).

GEN 2:7 Then the Lord God formed ( yatsar) man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. These three words represents three kinds of work that God did in Geneses 1 & 2 . We can see these three words again in ISA 43:7. Everyone who is called by My name, And whom I have created for My glory, Whom I have formed, even whom I have made. “ Created, formed and made are all connected but are not the same thing. Created means calling into existence without the aid of any thing that pre-existed. Formed ( yatsar) means to shape or fashion out of some existing material. This word is used of a potter forming a pot out of clay. “Made” means to prepare out of something that already was there. We could say, the chair was made out of pieces of wood.

In the beginning God created (bara) the heavens and the earth. He created them out of nothing. He called them into existence by the power of His word. In the beginning there was nothing there but space. After creation, the heavens and the earth were there. “The heavens” in this instance refers to the area where the stars are, not the area surrounding the earth which is referred to as “air” or atmosphere. The heavens where the stars are have not been altered since the original creation. The earth and the atmosphere have changed and are not the same as God originally created them.

The earth mentioned in Gen 1:1 is not in the same condition as the earth in Gen 1:2. When the earth was first created by God, it was perfect. God is a perfect Creator. He does not create things “formless” and “void” and “in darkness”. The margin says “a waste and emptiness”. Waste and void was not the original creation but the result of something that happened after it was created perfect.

ISA 45:18. For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens (He is the God who formed the earth and made it, He established it and did not create it a waste place, {But} formed it to be inhabited), “I am the Lord, and there is none else.

The earth was not created a waste or desolate place! Therefore, it must have gotten that way between verse 1 and verse 2. From verse 3 onward it does not speak about the original creation but the restoration of the earth that had become desolate. Not a recreation but a restoration. The first time God made everything out of nothing but then in restoration, God took what was there and repaired it.

The earth was “inhabitable” but it became “uninhabitable” and was not created uninhabitable. God used six days to accomplish the restoration to make the earth inhabitable again. Gen 1:3 onward is the earth as we know it today but before the fall of man. It is the same earth but it is not in the same condition as Genesis 1:1.

In verse 2 there is a connecting word “and” which in several places is translated “but”. The earth was created perfect “BUT” it became formless and void. The word “was” (formless) in other places is translated “ BECAME” (formless). Many of the Hebrew words have different usage and it is up to the translator to choose one. “BECAME” is more definitive here than “but”. Many Hebrew scholars agree on this. They point out that the same word is used in GEN 19:26 But his wife, from behind him, looked {back;} and she became a pillar of salt. If we put this in the context of Gen 1:2 we could say “ And his wife looked back and was a pillar of salt”. It says the same thing but in Gen 1:2 it would be much clearer. Also in GEN 2:7 Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being is the same word again. He was a living being but the translators used “ He became a living being”.

EXO 20:11 “For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. God “created” the heavens and the earth. Then in six days “He made” them. It is not possible to measure the time span between “create” and “made”. The first is creating out of nothing and the second is remaking them out of something that was already there. Sometimes it is mistakenly said that man is a creator. That is not possible. Man can form and make but only God can create. Here we will repeat the 2 Peter account to place it within the context of what we just wrote.

2 PET 3:5. For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God {the} heavens existed long ago and {the} earth was formed out of water and by water, 6 through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. 7 But the present heavens and earth by His word are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

The heavens existed “LONG AGO”, the earth was “FORMED OUT OF WATER”. Many commentators believe that verse 5 refers to the time of Genesis 1:1 and 2 Pet 2: 6 was the time the earth “became” formless and void. The heavens and earth spoken of in verse 7 refer to the restored heaven and earth on which we live.

This study is NOT about creation itself but about how man was created to bring this earth to a final conclusion and solve the problems that were the result of the former creation. It is for that “participation in solving the former problems” that we must focus upon the New Covenant provision, the New Creation of a New Species of Man upon the earth and the development of this New Species to deal with the enemies of God. Why? Because this is one of the reasons we exist and if we fail to complete this task in this generation God must wait for another generation to rid the earth of these adversaries, principalities and powers in heavenly places. (These adversaries and “places” are NOT in Washington or in Rome or the Muslims). These adversaries are not human beings who oppose God but principalities and powers.

The next thesis is this; The Victory of Calvary was a complete and total victory and perfectly finalized by His death. Nothing can be added to it and nothing can be subtracted from it! It is finished!

Where the delay and failure of this judgement is revealed is in the church because she has been given the task of enforcing this total victory upon the adversaries, enemies and the revengeful.

Paul tells us this task has been given to us, the New Covenant believers.

Eph 3:10 in order that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places.

Eph 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

The question is this; If the church fails to carry out her commission, who will God choose next? The answer is that God will wait for still another generation to complete His Eternal Purpose. But won’t Jesus return BEFORE this is accomplished? Definitely NOT! Why? Because He has chosen to let the church He is building overcome and inherit all things!

Rev 21:7 “He who overcomes shall inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son.

“These things” refer to the New Jerusalem, the Throne of God, the Manifest Presence of God, Mount Zion and the Kingdom of Priests who are the Priests of the Most High God. This includes the Tabernacle of God and the Government of the World yet to come!

What does all this mean? That Jesus has gone away but He has assigned to the church the task of enforcing EVERYTHING that He accomplished at Calvary!

But we don’t know how to do that and the Bible is not very clear how that is to be accomplished. That is true! However, Jesus did overcome and He knows how it is done. But who will teach us these things? That is the problem! Another meeting of preaching verses will not teach us these things. Then what IS THE SOLUTION?

1 John 2:27 And as for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.

The current question is this; Where can we go to receive this understanding? The Answer is easy. Into The Holy Place Life and Ministry.

2Cor 6:16 Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.

John 6:45 “It is written in the prophets, ‘AND THEY SHALL ALL BE TAUGHT OF GOD.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me.

Since the Outer Court is for the preparation of the priesthood ministry we must place the “function” of the Lampstand Church and the Priesthood after the Order of Melchizedek in the Holy Place dimension and in this invisible realm that is eternal. It is in this realm that God will teach us Himself. If we always need men to teach us it simply means that we have failed to grow up into Christ and we are content to remain in the natural light of the Outer Court.

If the church just remains in the natural dimensions God must wait for another generation that will come up His mountain, hear His voice, keep His Covenant and obey. This is how He is assembling a Kingdom of Priests and how He is building the Pure Gold Lampstand Church. It is this Church that He is building that will be equipped to deal with the Gates of Hell and all the adversaries, the principalities and the powers in heavenly places.

Can’t we just participate in the Church He is building but not get involved in all this warfare activity? This IS the attitude of the majority of the visible church that men are building but this attitude is the result of ignorance of what God purposed for HIMSELF in this creation. The visible church assumes that everything was created for man and his prosperity and happiness. The thought that man was created for God and His prosperity and happiness is immediately rejected as false doctrine. Why? Man thinks the whole of creation revolves himself and he is the center of the universe. He thinks that whatever God does is for man’s benefit.

It is at the Consecration Offering that this repentance or change of mind and direction is essential or the Holy Place Life and Ministry would just become another selfish and self centered activity of man who is intent on just serving himself in the “ministry.” Since 3/4 of the Holy Place Life and Ministry is toward God, the man centered approach to ministry must be severely dealt with by the Machaira or Consecration is just another sham. Ultimately, only what is accomplished through the Holy Place Life and Ministry will produce the true Silver, Gold and Precious Stone that will survive the fire.

Otherwise when we pass through the gates into eternity we may hear a terrible crash and turn to see our life’s work colaspe into a heap of temporal trash with nothing that can pass into eternity. Warning pastors that what they are doing is a waste of time has not been successful or politely received. Those who are only building to produce something impressive in the visible realm will be shot through with regret in that day.

What did God Purpose for HIMSELF in this creation? Understanding that is the deciding factor in the success or failure of every ministry!
