#453 Kingdom: The Danger Of Ignoring The New Covenant

Until God enacted a New Covenant there was not much the natural man could do to please God simply because those who are in the flesh CANNOT please God. This impossibility, however, did not keep the natural man from trying to please God. The exact same thing is happening today. Each Sunday thousands of churches are full of people who really want to please God. Every natural man that sets out to please God out of human effort has ended up either being deceived into thinking he was successful or with the testimony “Oh, wretched man that I am.”

Still, in each dispensation God accepted individuals who did the best they could out of human effort and declared them to be perfect in their generations. For example; David sinned in a terrible way but God forgave him and declared him to be perfect in his generation. Moses got into trouble when he struck the rock but he was perfect in his generation. However, that time passed away with the advent of Calvary and Pentecost. Now it is clearly stated that those who are in the flesh CANNOT please God. Before the New Covenant there was no other provision that enabled man to live in any realm except the flesh! The flesh ruled men’s lives for 4000 years following Genesis 3.

Until God enacted the New Covenant following Calvary, the testimony was the same for 4000 years from Genesis to Malachi to Calvary. When God promised that He would enact a New Covenant that would be nothing like the Old Covenant there was, at last, some hope that man would then be able to live in such a way to please God. The New Covenant promised that God would do a special work in the inner parts of man that would enable him to live in a different realm called “SPIRIT.” David realized that his main problem was something deep within that he had no control over.

Psalm 51:2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin. :3 For I know my transgressions, And my sin is ever before me. 4 Against Thee, Thee only, I have sinned, And done what is evil in Thy sight, So that Thou art justified when Thou dost speak, And blameless when Thou dost judge. 5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me. 6 Behold, Thou dost desire truth in the innermost being, And in the hidden part Thou wilt make me know wisdom.

Psalm 51:7 Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. 8 Make me to hear joy and gladness, Let the bones which Thou hast broken rejoice. 9 Hide Thy face from my sins, And blot out all my iniquities. 10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

This cry from David’s heart has always been the burden of the natural man who wants to please God. Ever since the failures of man in Genesis 3, the cry has been ; “Oh, God, How can I live to please you and complete your purpose for my life?” Some persons in the first Adam race of man have cried out this question to God in each generation for 6000 years. Some of these frustrated individuals are recorded in the Bible. Some of these persons were Prophets appointed by God to speak to His people and the Bible records their testimony. Some of these disappointed individuals also live in our dispensation since Calvary. A few are reading this document!

However, each person in every generation that has tried to please God soon discovered his own inability and failure. David discovered this truth and expressed it in Psalm 51. He discovered that the cause of his failure was something within him that was inherently evil and was there since he left his mother’s womb. He fully understood that he needed an inner work of God that was much more than forgiveness of sins. He needed a transformation and cleansing within the inner man.

Man helplessly lived in this state of failure, sin and condemnation from Genesis 3 until Calvary. The natural man, even though he believes in Jesus and considers himself “Christian”, is still experiencing these same failures today, 2000 years after Calvary. Many of these people are in the church on Sunday wondering why they are always failing. The pastors are full of compassion and constantly reassure them that after all they are only human and God understands their weakness! He assures them that God loves them just as they are!

Nevertheless, with that series of events surrounding Calvary and Pentecost, God began to solve this age old problem of trying to serve and please God in the flesh and out of human ability. However, it was not just forgiveness of sins that would solve the basic failure and inability of man when he sets out to serve God, fulfill His Eternal Purpose, do the whole will of God and to live his life to please Him. Thank God for the blood and the sacrifice of Calvary but even with forgiveness of sins the natural man still CANNOT please God because he is still “in the flesh.”

Now God has solved that age old problem through the introduction of a completely New Covenant by which, if man fully participated in its provision, he could at last please God.

God didn’t just speak some words of comfort like the local pastor and tell man “Yes, I know the desires of your heart and if you could please me you would but I know you can’t.” NO! He not only solved these problems in an absolute way through out the series of events surrounding Calvary and Pentecost but God put all this ultimate provision into the form of an irrevocable and eternal New Covenant. Then He established Jesus Christ as the single Mediator of the Covenant that God has made with man and declared that Jesus is God’s guarantee of that better covenant. We might ask; “Better than what?” Better than anything that came before it. Not only that but Jesus’ blood was shed to inaugurate, affirm and seal the “Eternal Covenant.”

Heb 13:20 Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord,

When the “church” decided to focus their efforts upon forgiveness of sins through the blood of Calvary as “full salvation” rather than getting people into the New Covenant, experientially, the New Covenant provision became nearly irrelevant to the visible church. In many places the people in the pew never heard of the New Covenant. I have met pastors who never heard of it also and consider it a strange doctrine! Why? Because they very boldly say that every thing we needed to be “saved” took place at Calvary and NOTHING can be added to that sacrifice. Of course it was through that absolute sacrifice that permitted the Holy Spirit to be poured out and the New Covenant to be established.

Act 2:32 “This Jesus God raised up again, to which we are all witnesses. :33 “Therefore having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both see and hear.

Their faulty answer to the New Covenant is this; “We are “saved” by faith and by saying certain words and believing a certain doctrine. How can the New Covenant provision get us more than saved?” Introducing the term “Saved” as something final has replaced the New Covenant as the means of moving man out of the flesh realm and into the realm of fulfilling God’s Eternal Purpose. The pitiful condition of the church is the result of this ignorance in the pulpit! Each of us requires the provision of the New Covenant reality as personal experience to be New Covenant believers. The New Covenant is “progressively saving” each person who is experiencing it! It appears that this “ignorance” is universal among evangelical churches that preach “salvation” as the last work of grace. The result of this error can be seen as a complete failure to recognize God’s Truth and provision. This seems to be demonstrated in every group that assumes we can be “saved” outside of the New Covenant.

For years and years the natural man ( who believes in Jesus) has attempted to serve God in the flesh. Serving God in the flesh has NOT been seen as a serious failure because we all do it and besides that we don’t even know what it means to serve God in the Spirit. That seems too mystical to be important or even valid! Even in Pentecostal Churches when they explain what it means to be “in the Spirit” is so confused and abstract it sounds like another cliche.

Rom 8:6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so; 8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Serving God in the flesh is a total waste of time and is counted as a failure and is rejected by God. The goal of “salvation” that is implied here is that we should at last be able to live our life to please God. However, if we remain in the flesh it will certainly condemn us to a life that will prevent us from “pleasing God.” But what difference does it make if we please God or not because “We are saved by faith, not by works?”

Many of us actually tried to please God in the flesh ( by human effort) but we ended up confessing “Oh, wretched man that I am, who will deliverer me from the body of this death? I soon realized that I was simply not able to please God even though I tried the very best that I could. That was AFTER I received the Holy Spirit! I was willing to do His will but I discovered that I was totally unable. I asked God to help me to serve Him in my natural ability but with anointing and He ignored my request. Why? God knew that method was guaranteed to fail so He “saved” me from certain failure by ignoring my request of help.

Ignorance of the New Covenant provision is not a valid excuse for the visible church today. This is exactly why we must preach the Kingdom of God and its demands as ONLY possible when the New Covenant is an experiential reality! How do we know that? Because the Kingdom was introduced and preached by John the Baptist and Jesus as being now at hand! What does that include? The New Covenant was going to be enacted when Messiah came.

Our message of the Kingdom must begin by declaring that we must fully participate in the full provision of the New Covenant to participate in the Kingdom and to meet its demands. Why? Because no one can enter the Kingdom who does not do the will of God. Attempting to do the will of God in the flesh is clearly rejected by God. However, doing the will of God is demanded for access into the Kingdom of God.

Mat 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.

It is very clear that the inability, the struggle and the failure of the “Christian” to do His will

is from some powerful defect and helplessness inherent within us and is a subjective deficiency that is not solved by education. This is an inherent inability built into every natural man. The desire to serve God is also inherent within us but the doing of His will is not inherent in us.

Rom 7:18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the wishing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. 19 For the good that I wish, I do not do; but I practice the very evil that I do not wish.

It seems that each of us is locked into this pitiful condition until we participate in the provisions of the New Covenant. We know that the answer to the failure of Romans 7 is Romans 8 but it is the New Covenant that provides us with the opportunity to receive the Holy Spirit and live in Romans 8. However, the actual ability to do His will is only found in the full provision of the New Covenant. This is not just my doctrine but is a Bible fact that will be clearly seen when we list the provisions of the New Covenant.

Now a serious problem appears again when we read these same scriptures but then conceptualize this truth and attempt to understand it with the natural mind. Sometime each of us must come to the reality of “Oh, wretched man that I am” in order to surrender to the New Covenant reality! The reality of an Isaiah 6 confrontation is essential to pass through the second Veil! Then we must decide if we will accept this inherent inability as an unchangeable fact related to human failure. We are aware that if we continue living in the flesh we are destined to fail to fulfill God’s Purpose for our life!

However, if this message was fully preached and, maybe, if we were fully convinced, we may accept the fact that God has made a way out of this terrible and pitiful condition called “the flesh.” That “way” out of the natural limitation is the personal experience of New Covenant that is directly mediated by the Lord Jesus Christ! He, Himself, is given as our guarantee that the New Covenant is sufficient for each of us. How? By witnessing His testimony and His total overcoming Life!

Our extreme failure and utter inability is personally realized when we attempt to “go on to perfection or to grow up in all things into Christ or to be presented to Jesus without spot or wrinkle or any such thing. Hopefully we will be convinced that the natural man will never fulfill these demands or to be experientially holy and blameless.” This requirement for the church reveals the error of presenting the “full salvation by forgiveness of sins” concept, that is so popular among the Evangelicals.

When we understand God’s purpose for the world yet to come, we see the error of this “Full Salvation at the Bronze Altar in the Outer Court.” The reality and experience of going on to perfection has been reduced to just another church doctrine. Of course “salvation by faith” is a valid doctrine but when it is presented as the goal and purpose of God to keep us out of hell it becomes a deception, or at least a corrupted doctrine. Being able to see the Bronze Altar (Calvary) in respect to the Most Holy Place and the Throne of the Kingdom of God unveils this error, graphically. Presenting the Bronze Altar (Calvary) as “saved from hell” is far too shallow and ignores the real goal of the Bronze Altar which is just one of the experiences of being prepared for the eternal Priesthood after the Order of Melchizedek. It is also one provision of the New Covenant of “I will forgive their sin and their iniquity I will remember no more.” The New Covenant extends our salvation to be able to live to please God and be saved unto God’s Eternal Purpose. (Most Holy Place)

The Bronze Altar in the Tabernacle of Moses is a copy and shadow of the reality which took

place at Calvary. The Bronze Altar in the Tabernacle of Moses and the various sacrifices were essential to participate in the Old Covenant initiated at Mount Sinai. The reality of Calvary and the “I will forgive your sin and your iniquity ( lawless deeds) I will remember no more” is part of the New Covenant that relates us to Mount Zion and the New Jerusalem and the Kingdom of Priests.

Jer 31:34 “And they shall not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the LORD , “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

This is just one of the tremendous provisions of the New Covenant. However, this is only one of the blessings offered to those who are participants in the New Covenant who may fully experience all of these other provisions also. There is another error currently in the visible church which assumes that the New Covenant then applies to ALL believers who accept Jesus as personal Savior. It is certainly available to ALL believers but not ALL believers are even told about the other provisions! The some are not willing to pay the price of participation in the full provision. For that reason there are multitudes on the outside, still being ignorant of all the benefits.

This is also true of “salvation.” In many churches that preach “salvation” there are many that are not “saved” simply because they do not meet God’s requirements.

2Thes 2:13 But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.

1Pet 1:1 -----, who are chosen 2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in fullest measure.

However, anyone who “believes something about Jesus” can be considered good members of many churches even though they are not born-again. Some of the un-saved are even in the pulpit! This is why we insist upon each new believer having the full experience of the full New Covenant reality.

That is why we always resist the temptation to just proclaim “the doctrine of the New Covenant” because that can be learned and taught without any actual experience at all.

After traveling and sharing in many countries and many different kind of churches it has become evident that most churches have heard the word “new covenant” but nearly none can even explain what that means or how it differs from the Old Covenant. Some have what they call “five-fold ministries” but have no idea what the provision of the New Covenant is or even why it is important. They certainly know the evils and danger of following the Old Covenant but know nothing about the New Covenant that has replaced it 2000 years ago.

The “Five-fold Ministries” of the diaper crowd obviously know nothing about the New Covenant or they have ignored it. We have discovered that the “diaper crowd” INCLUDES the “five-fold ministry” in many places. Since the New Covenant is basic to our salvation, this ignorance appears to be bordering on becoming criminal.

We have also discovered that in many places G12 refers to the size of diaper that fits the ministry. Of course there could also be G1 or G 3 sizes in many places that fit the believers. In some groups a G 7 diaper would fit someone who is considered to be very mature. I suspect that this ignorance of the New Covenant provision and the lack of its genuine experience is the reason we see so much carnality and immaturity in both the “ministry” and in the believers.

Is this just more negativity and criticism of the church system that has failed us? Yes! But not without reason or evidence of its failure. How do we know that? Because one provision of the New Covenant is this “And they will not need anyone to teach them because they shall all be taught of God.”

1Jnohn 2:27 And as for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.

John 6:45 “It is written in the prophets, ‘AND THEY SHALL ALL BE TAUGHT OF GOD.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me.

Isa 54:13 “And all your sons will be taught of the LORD; And the well-being of your sons will be great.

Today, it would be very strange to find a church that even believed this scripture let alone expected this to be possible for “all to be taught of God.” It would be difficult to find a Pentecostal Church that believed they didn’t need to continue to teach believers even after they spent 30 years in the church. Few would ever expect the anointing to teach ALL in the church about all things. Why? Because they think ONLY the ministry can be taught of God. Why is this error “normal?” Because the other provisions of the New Covenant have been ignored as living experiences! It is ONLY through the full provision of the New Covenant that will prepare us for doing the whole will of God and fulfilling His eternal purpose or even doing the ministry!

Why has the “inner anointing” failed to teach us all things? In some places they teach us that the “anointing” no longer exists nor is needed because now we have the Bible and we have trained men to teach us. Before they only had ignorant and unlearned fishermen to teach so they needed the anointing to teach them. In other places we discover they think the “anointing” is just speaking in tongues or prophesy! There is not even an expectation that the “Inner Anointing” will teach us all things because we are still focused upon the “anointing upon” the outer man which is for gifts. If there is no New Growing Inner Man there will be NO inner anointing simply because this “inner teaching” is only intended for the New Inner Man and NOT to the intellect of the outer man. That is why those who are “in the flesh” and are also “in the pulpit” can produce nothing eternal.

Why are the works of the flesh still predominate in the church in all locations? Simply because the provisions of the New Covenant have not been the actual experience of the Clergy or the believers. They have simply been instructed to receive Jesus as personal Savior and you receive the whole package called “salvation.” It is as if so many think “I will forgive your sin and your iniquity I will remember no more” is the complete New Covenant package and provision.

This is how we could summerize my thesis; No Clear Teaching= No New Covenant = No Forgiveness of sins= No New Inner Man= No Growth= No New Covenant Ministry= No Priesthood after the Order of Melchizedek= No Inner Anointing= No Revelation or Vision = Miserable Failure = The Frustration of Ministers = THE VISIBLE PROBLEM.

If all this really is true what is the solution to the problem? My answer is this; If man’s way is not working, why don’t we try God’s revealed way because maybe that WILL WORK?

It shouldn’t be that difficult to add up all the provision of the New Covenant and to see how much we actually are experiencing. If we are NOT experiencing EVERYTHING, maybe that is why it is not working. Do you mean that the New Covenant must actually be experienced before it will be manifested in Ministry? Yes! But won’t the doctrine do the same thing? NO! But what about God’s Grace? It works more fully through the New Covenant and enables us to experience its full provision!

But we have been taught that because of God’s grace we don’t have to experience the New Covenant or anything except to accept Jesus as my personal Savior. Well, you have been taught wrong things! This is EXACTLY why God wants to teach you Himself because He will teach you the Truth! He is NOT BOUND by denominational error!

Until that happens why don’t we see what the written Word says about the New Covenant and try to identify its provision. Remember, the Old Covenant was done away with because it was worthless and couldn’t bring anyone to perfection. Therefore, we can be fairly certain that God has not replaced it with another Covenant that is also worthless and cannot bring us to perfection.

Therefore, let us assemble some of the scriptures relating to the New Covenant that we may see some of the more obvious provisions that will enable man to please God and bring joy to His heart.

Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion sought for a second. 8 For finding fault with them, He says, “BEHOLD, DAYS ARE COMING, SAYS THE LORD, WHEN I WILL EFFECT A NEW COVENANT WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AND WITH THE HOUSE OF JUDAH; :9 NOT LIKE THE COVENANT WHICH I MADE WITH THEIR FATHERS ON THE DAY WHEN I TOOK THEM BY THE HAND TO LEAD THEM OUT OF THE LAND OF EGYPT; FOR THEY DID NOT CONTINUE IN MY COVENANT, AND I DID NOT CARE FOR THEM, SAYS THE LORD.

Heb 8:10 “FOR THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR MINDS, AND I WILL WRITE THEM UPON THEIR HEARTS. AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE. 11 “AND THEY SHALL NOT TEACH EVERYONE HIS FELLOW CITIZEN, AND EVERYONE HIS BROTHER, SAYING, ‘KNOW THE LORD,’ FOR ALL SHALL KNOW ME, FROM THE LEAST TO THE GREATEST OF THEM. 12 “FOR I WILL BE MERCIFUL TO THEIR INIQUITIES, AND I WILL REMEMBER THEIR SINS NO MORE.” 13 When He said, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear.

Heb 10:15 And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying, 16 “THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS UPON THEIR HEART, AND UPON THEIR MIND I WILL WRITE THEM,” He then says, 17 “AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE.” 18 Now where there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin.

Jer 31:31 “Behold, days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, 32 not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the LORD.

Jer 31:33 “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the LORD, “I will put My law within them, and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 “And they shall not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the LORD , “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

Eze 36:26 “Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 “And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.

Eze 11:19 “And I shall give them one heart, and shall put a new spirit within them. And I shall take the heart of stone out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, 20 that they may walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances, and do them. Then they will be My people, and I shall be their God.

Isa 59:20 “And a Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” declares the LORD. 21 “And as for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD: “My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says the LORD, “from now and forever.”

1Cor 11:25 In the same way He took the cup also, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

Heb 13:20 Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord,

Heb 9:15 And for this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, in order that since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

Heb 9:16 For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it. 17 For a covenant is valid only when men are dead, for it is never in force while the one who made it lives.

Heb 9:18 Therefore even the first covenant was not inaugurated without blood. 19 For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the Law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, 20 saying, “THIS IS THE BLOOD OF THE COVENANT WHICH GOD COMMANDED YOU.” 21 And in the same way he sprinkled both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry with the blood.

Heb 9:22 And according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

It is clear that the Sprinkled blood is for CLEANSING and the Shed Blood is for Forgiveness of sins. We wonder why there is much emphasis upon the Shed Blood but No Emphasis upon the Sprinkled Blood?

1 Peter 1:1 ...who are chosen 2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by

the sanctifying work of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in fullest measure.

Heb 12:22 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, 23 to the general assembly and church of the first-born who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, 24 and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel.

The blood of martyrs cannot be compared to Jesus’ Blood of Sprinkling because the “Sprinkled Blood” is the only one that cleanses as we obey. We remember the blood of martyrs but that blood cannot cleanse us. The Lord’s Table remembers the Blood which is the Blood of the Covenant. It was by that Blood of the Covenant that God brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep but it was by the Blood of Sprinkling that Jesus entered into the Holiest to Sprinkle His Own Blood which is still testifying to His own obedience. This is the same Sprinkled Blood that cleanses us as we walk in obedience. It was the Blood of Sprinkling that testified to His total Obedience and it was His obedience that totally removed any defense that Satan had for his disobedience. The Last Adam can now judge Satan, the prince of this world, by His obedience. Now, having completed God’s predestined purpose He IS the mediator of a New Covenant.

Heb 10:19 Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

By which Blood did Jesus enter into the Holiest? The Shed Blood OR the Sprinkled Blood? By which Blood is our heart “sprinkled” clean from an evil conscience? It is our renewed conscience that warns us when we are in disobedience.

Evil Conscience = G4190 πονηρός ponēros pon-ay-ros’

From a derivative of G4192; hurtful, that is, evil (properly in effect or influence, and thus differing from G2556, which refers rather to essential character, as well as from G4550, which indicates degeneracy from original virtue); figuratively calamitous; also (passively) ill, that is, diseased; but especially (morally) culpable, that is, derelict, vicious, facinorous; neuter (singular) mischief, malice, or (plural) guilt; masculine (singular) the devil, or (plural) sinners: - bad, evil, grievous, harm, lewd, malicious, wicked (-ness). See also G4191.

“Poneros” can be translated as guilty or ill conscience. It is easy to see why the song leader thinks he can take the audience into the Holiest with music but he is wrong! The Sprinkled Blood ( the Blood of Obedience) will testify against him if there is disobedience in the audience.

1John 1:7 but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

It is not possible to walk in disobedience and still walk in the Light as He, Himself, is in the Light! Forgiveness is by the Shed Blood and cleansing is by the Sprinkled Blood! Both aspects of the Blood of Jesus are essential for us if we are going on to fulfill God’s Purpose for our lives.

To teach that obedience is not necessary because of grace is just ignorance of scripture or maybe a human faithfulness to a unreliable denominational doctrine!

So what are the provisions of the New Covenant that will enable us to walk in the Light by obedience, and be cleansed from anything that offends God or keeps us from His Presence? What are the provisions that will permit us to at last please God, do His will and to participate in His Kingdom Government? We discover there are things He must first remove from us before the correct thing can be added.

(1) I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

(2) I will put My law within them, and on their heart I will write it;

(3) I will be their God, and they shall be My people

(4) I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

(5) I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you;

(6) “And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.

(7) for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,

(8) “FOR I WILL BE MERCIFUL TO THEIR INIQUITIES, AND I WILL REMEMBER THEIR SINS NO MORE.”

(9) And they shall not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD

(10) a Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,”

(11) this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD: “My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth

(12) nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says the LORD, “from now and forever.”

These are some of the provisions that God has supplied through the New Covenant that will correct all of man’s failures and prepare man to inherit all things and fulfill the purpose of God and rule over the world yet to come. The New Covenant will correct everything that the Old Covenant could NOT fix because man was only flesh continually. All men after first Adam had a heart of stone so it could not be redeemed into a New Covenant reality. God had to make provision to remove it and replace it with a new heart (or new inner man) that could know the Lord and walk in His ways.

We could sum up the main provisions of the New Covenant and how it differs from the Old Covenant with this one verse.

2Cor 6:16 ...For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.

“Among” G1704 emperipateō em-per-ee-pat-eh’-o

From G1722 and G4043; to perambulate on a place, that is, (figuratively) to - walk in.

If God will live in us and walk in us all the provision we will ever need to please Him will be inherent within us! If God will dwell IN HIS PEOPLE and from that INNER LIFE be our God what more will we need to do His will and live our life to please Him? What possible excuse can we give under the New Covenant for not pleasing God. God is working toward the end that His people will at last be able to please Him.

Phil 1:6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

Phil 2:13 for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

The fact that there is too much of the old Adam and his attributes in us AFTER we receive forgiveness of sins is the real reason that God must be continually working in us to remove those things that will soon hinder us from doing His will and completing His eternal purpose and bringing joy to His heart. At the same time He must put in us ALL the things that will enable us to do His will etc.

While “forgiveness of sins” is necessary and wonderful, that alone does not give us this God ordained ability to complete His eternal purpose. I will put a NEW SPIRIT in you and then I will put MY SPIRIT in you and cause you to walk in my ways is essential and one more of the many things that were supplied by Calvary. I will put MY LAWS into your mind and write MY LAWS upon your heart is also essential if we are going to walk in the New Covenant by obedience! I will dwell IN THEM and WALK IN THEM is also necessary if we are going to be New Covenant believers rather that just believers. They will not need man to TEACH THEM for they shall all be TAUGHT OF GOD is another essential provision that CANNOT be ignored any longer if we ever expect God to move the church into the Lampstand dimension.

Jesus said HE WILL BUILD HIS CHURCH but how do we expect Him to do that? Unless we are diligent to experience ALL HIS PROVISION for the Pure Gold Lampstand Church will He do it anyway? With what will He build His Lampstand Church unless we provide the Pure Gold which is the character of the Kingdom. How will we ever become that PURE Gold if we don’t have all God’s provision to produce that Gold? Just repeating the cliche “we will do it by faith” has not been working for the last 40 years so why would we think it will work in the next 40 years.

The New Covenant has not been some hidden thing that only the deeper life group can reveal. It is so simple that even ignorant unlearned fishermen can experience and demonstrate it. Only the wisdom of this world can be so stupid that it cannot understand the many provisions that were supplied by Calvary and Pentecost. None of these are options IF we are going to fulfill the purpose of the New Covenant Church. Why? Because we want to identify the New Covenant Church As the Pure Gold Lampstand Church that Jesus is walking amongst and threatening, correcting, warning, accusing and teaching how the church MUST be before it is acceptable to Him. This is how He is preparing the church for that Glorious Presentation which is without spot or wrinkle or any such thing but is holy and blameless!

Eph 5:25 ...just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her; 26 that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she should be holy and blameless.

This is much more than forgiveness of sins because God’s expectation for the church is much more than to be forgiven or “saved.” It is to be perfect and fully grown in order to qualify to be presented to His Son. Jesus is NOT coming back for a baby bride.

The diaper group will certainly reject this fact but let someone else be constantly changing diapers and let us go on to Perfection, no longer messing around with the basic things that are just the very beginnings of the Christian life. For the “five-fold ministry” to be constantly re-hashing the first principles of the doctrine of Christ just proves they are NOT the ministries He has appointed to bring His church to perfection. When these “ministries” are working against what He is teaching His Lampstand Churches in Revelation 2 and 3 we can be assured these are not what He had in mind in Ephesians 4:11- 15.
