#333 Kingdom: The Seed, The Logos, The Kingdom

One of the most difficult things about “Preaching the Kingdom of God as Present Reality” is in showing clearly how we get from here to there. To grow up in all things into Christ and be conformed to His image seems like such a gross impossibility that the message is repulsive to most casual believers. How can such a thing be possible? Jesus was bold to say “With God ALL THINGS are possible.”

Of course that again sounds like another “religious cliche” that falls to the ground because it has no legs upon which it can stand. Then when we add all these other incredible things that THE WORD OF GOD; THE LOGOS plainly says, it becomes unbelievable to the natural mind. Why? Because none of this is logical to the carnal mind! In fact the carnal mind, of the natural man, can never understand it because it is spiritually discerned. The message of the Kingdom itself must be delivered with spiritual words to convey spiritual thoughts that have been given by the Spirit. Then who could receive such a word? Those who have developed another spiritual dimension in their inward life in which these words are normal and become food and understanding for the spirit!!

Therefore, we have three strikes against us the moment we proclaim the maturity of the church, the perfection of the bride of Christ, the glory of the New Jerusalem, the Present Reality of the Kingdom of God OR the unity of the body of Christ with Christ the Head. Just to speak of “CHRIST” as Head AND Body, made up of many members, is too much for the natural man to comprehend.

The dilemma is how to present these eternal truths to the average Christian so they can understand it. According to scripture multitudes that have ears to hear will not even listen, nor will they understand because their heart has become hardened and they cannot understand! Then how can we convince these people? We can’t!

But what is to happen to these people if we can’t convince them of these eternal truths? That is not our problem! God knows the ones to draw unto Himself and He knows the ones that will not respond to His drawing. Trying to draw those whom God is not drawing is a popular way to evangelize but is a waste of time! Even if we can convince them to “make a quality decision” before they leave the meeting, no one can come unless the Father is drawing them. But what if they actually come forward in the meeting and repeat those magic words? Some have a genuine experience and some don’t.

The question that confronts us is this; How can we preach these eternal truths to those who have been born again, attend church, profess Christ and appear to be believers? Will these all receive the message of the Kingdom and consecrate themselves to Christ? No! Why? Because the natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God. But are these people “saved?” Only God knows! Most likely they will go to “heaven” when they die. However, they will have no inheritance in the Kingdom of God.

Growing up into Christ, being conformed to His image, coming to the unity of the faith and the full knowledge of the Son of God, being joined to that One Perfect Man, developing to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ, is ALL part of inheriting the Kingdom of God.

Becoming a Kingdom of Priests and sons of God or sons of the High Priest in our function before God is a requirement if we are to take our place in the Eternal Purpose of God. In other words, functioning within the Kingdom Government of God is not a job for Christian babies or Christian children but for the mature sons of God.

Now the question still remains; How do we get from here to there? This may appear to require a very extended and complicated explanation. However, God already has give us the answer in the Bible and assured each of us, who have ears that can hear, that the process is apparent all around us by the natural metaphors revealed in creation.

1 Cor 15: 42] So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body; [43] it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; [44] it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. [45] So also it is written, “The first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

1 Cor 15: 46] However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual. [47] The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven. [48] As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly. [49] And just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

1Cor 15:35 But someone will say, “How are the dead raised? And with what kind of body do they come?” [36] You fool! That which you sow does not come to life unless it dies; [37] and that which you sow, you do not sow the body which is to be, but a bare grain, perhaps of wheat or of something else. [38] But God gives it a body just as He wished, and to each of the seeds a body of its own.

All of nature proclaims the secrets of God but in natural form. We must see the spiritual application to understand this mystery of how God plants, what He plants, how He waters, how He causes the growth and what He expects to harvest. We need to see the harvest and how the harvest fulfills God’s Eternal Purpose. While the planting of the seed is essential to harvest, we must not confuse the planting of the seed with the harvest. The TIME between the planting of the seed , the growth process, and the harvest is what we are calling “the Christian Life.”

The harvest reflects exactly the seed that was sown BUT the harvest looks nothing like the seed that was sown. However, we can learn from the natural in order to understand the spiritual reality of “seed planting” and “harvest.”

In the spiritual dimension the Seed [ Greek- Sperma] that is sown is the Logos or the Eternal Word of God. That same Word that became flesh in Jesus Christ who is called the “Son of God.” The harvest of the Seed sown [Greek- Sporos] in us is designed to produce the “Sons of God.” Of course there are a lot of things that can go wrong between seed time and harvest. For example; The Devil can follow along and plant weeds to choke out the seed growth. Difficult and dry times can cause the seed to fail. Those who walk beside the growing seed can tramp on it and prevent it from growing to harvest. We may fail to remove the stones and hard places from our life and no harvest is realized. In fact, with all the antagonistic conditions of the world system and all the obstacles to growth and maturity that is focused against this Eternal Seed, it is a miracle if any grows. When this seed is planted within the inner man, it is amazing that any harvest is expected today. For this reason we must be clear about the process by which the Incorruptible Seed [Greek- Sperma] comes to maturity to produce a harvest of the Kingdom of God within us.

FIRST THE NATURAL THEN THE SPIRITUAL

Gen 1:11] Then God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit after their kind, with seed in them, on the earth”; and it was so. [12] And the earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good. [13] And there was evening and there was morning, a third day.

Each natural plant and natural tree yields seed that reproduces after its own kind. Whatever seed is planted will re-produce after its own kind. Within the plan of God, the life within each seed is so different that it cannot produce differently than the life that is in it. For example if we plant tomato seeds there is no possibility that we will get carrots instead of tomatoes. It is not difficult understanding how the natural plants re-produce exactly according to the plan and purpose of God. After so many years since the “Law of the Seed” was introduced in creation, we still see the same “Law of Seed” working today exactly the same. This should give us great confidence in the “Law of Spiritual Seed” that re-produces precisely after its own kind.

If we plant the “Logos Seed” it will bring forth a harvest of “Logos.” There is no possibility if we plant “Logos” that some “philosophy” will sprout up and grow. However, if we plant “philosophy” we will only reap “philosophy.” There is absolutely no possibility that we can plant “philosophy” and then reap “Logos.” Maybe if we “plant” the “gospel of prosperity” there will be some miracle occur and we will harvest the “Kingdom.” That can never happen! What we plant is exactly what we will reap. Maybe, we can plant money and reap the “Logos.” Never!

Absolutely, the only seed that will produce the “Logos” is the “Logos.” If we have any understanding we will be assured that to produce the “Kingdom in people” we must plant the “Logos of the Kingdom.”

Mat 13: 19] “When anyone hears the word [Logos] of the kingdom, and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one on whom seed was sown beside the road. [20] “And the one on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, this is the man who hears the word [Logos] , and immediately receives it with joy; [21] yet he has no firm root in himself, but is only temporary, and when affliction or persecution arises because of the word,[Logos] immediately he falls away. [22] “And the one on whom seed was sown among the thorns, this is the man who hears the word,[Logos] and the worry of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word,[Logos] and it becomes unfruitful. [23] “And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word [Logos] and understands it; who indeed bears fruit, and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.”

What is sown in these parables is the “Logos of the Kingdom.” and the harvest is the “Logos of the Kingdom.” There are different quantities of harvest, depending upon the condition of the soil, but the harvest must be an increase of the exact same seed that was planted. For example; We cannot plant the “seed of church growth” and expect to reap a harvest of the “Kingdom.” Maybe we can plant the “seed of five- fold ministry” and reap the Kingdom. This has never work!

None of these strange seeds that we have seen planted over the last 36 years has produced anything different than what was planted. None of these strange seeds has produced the “Kingdom of God.” Why? Because it requires the planting of the “Logos of the Kingdom” to produce the “logos of the Kingdom.”

When the fulness of time came and God determined to raise up the Son of God, He didn’t plant any natural seed [ sperma] in Mary as some suppose. What God planted in Mary was the “Logos Seed” [ that Eternal and Spiritual Sperma] and what was produced was the “Son of God.”

Luke 1:35] And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy offspring shall be called the Son of God.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, [Logos] and the Word [Logos] was with God,

and the Word [Logos] was God. [2] He [Logos] was in the beginning with God. [3] All things came into being by Him, [Logos] and apart from Him [Logos] nothing came into being that has come into being. [4] In Him [Logos] was life, and the life was the light of men.

John 1:14 And the Word [Logos] became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His [Logos] glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

What was planted in Mary was the “Logos”, the Word of God, and what was harvested was the “Logos”, the Word of God”, Who IS the Son Of God. The Seed [Sperma] that produced the Son of God IS the “Logos.”

Then it seems reasonable if we expect to bring forth a harvest of the Sons of God who will become a Kingdom of Priests that we should be careful to just plant the “Logos” or the Word [Logos] of the Kingdom.

If we can understand the total depravity of man that is so clearly defined in Romans chapter 1- 2 and 3, we might wonder how the God of Creation can ever turn that corruption into the Sons of God and a Kingdom of Priests. How can God use this “muck of the earth” to create sons after His Own Kind.

Dictionary– muck >noun 1 dirt or rubbish. 2 manure. >verb 1 (muck up) informal spoil.

God will plant into this “manure pile” called “fallen man” an “incorruptible Seed” (Logos) that will take root in this “dirt” and produce after His own kind. When this “Incorruptible Seed” in man comes to the maturity of harvest, we will see the “sons of God” who have grown up in all things into Christ, the Pattern Son of God.

Of course the plan of God is perfect and these “sons” will surely be a reality but the problem is with the soil in which the “Eternal Seed” is planted. The parable in Matthew 13 makes this clear. Whatever “seed” is planted will be all that we can expect to reap in the harvest. If we have planted cliches and stereotype messages, that is what we will reap in the pew. Even if we plant the “Logos of the Kingdom” in the wrong soil, nothing will be harvested. Too much of what is “planted” on Sunday will just produce more wood, hay and straw for the fire.

Since “flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God” we should be very careful NOT to preach “flesh and blood” seed. Only that which has been birthed out of Kingdom Seed and comes to full maturity will inherit the Kingdom of God. Only what develops in the new inner man, the new creation, will leave this earth to find their place in the Eternal Kingdom Government of God. The “flesh and blood person” will remain and decay on this earth. That means that ONLY the new inner man that has been produced from the “Logos” Seed and then grows to the maturity of harvest can inherit the Kingdom.

1CO 15:50 Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.

That which is “corruptible” (subject to death and decay) cannot inherit the Kingdom along with that which is “incorruptible” (never subject to death and decay, eternal). Whatever is connected to the Kingdom of God MUST be of the “incorruptible (eternal) Seed.” We should all understand that every word that is spoken from the pulpit is NOT the “incorruptible Seed [Sperma] “ that will produce the “sons of God.” Foolish and dead words just produce foolish and dead results. Dead sperma produces no life.

1Peter 1:22 Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart, [23] for you have been born again not of seed [sperma] which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and abiding word [ Logos] of God.

. All this “boot-strap Christianity” or “Christianity out of human effort” or what we could call “self-help Christianity” or “reformation Christianity” is destined to perish. The “old man” can never be reformed or made acceptable to God. Only that which is conceived by God and born of God can be considered to be “children of God.” Absolutely no one or any ministry can possibly produce the “Life of God.” That can only be delivered to mankind through the “eternal seed of God.” Only those who have received His Seed and in those whom His Seed has come to maturity can be recognized as the “sons of God.” Only God can supply to us the same Life (Zoe) that was in His only begotten Son. No church or religious system can produce His Zoe Life. We must receive His Incorruptible and Eternal Seed or we will just have another religion that speaks about Christ.

The seed of the flesh cannot inherit along with the Seed of the Spirit.

The frustration comes to us when we try to preach the “Logos of the Kingdom” when the “Logos of the Kingdom” has not yet been birthed in us. The Word of the Kingdom cannot be effectively preached as letter or doctrine but only as Life and Spirit.

The wonder in all this is that God has entrusted to us the privilege of preaching the Word of the Kingdom to the world. God has given us the commission and the privilege of sowing the Kingdom Seed. We can hardly understand the magnitude of this commission! Then we ignorantly go about preaching some Christian philosophy that has NO ETERNAL LIFE IN THE SEED but just produces more weeds. If the devil can persuade the “ministries” to preach a new philosophy, he won’t even have to follow after to plant weeds. Theologians become his servants sowing irrelevant seeds of men’s wisdom and even proclaim that the Kingdom is irrelevant today but some day it will be a message for Israel.

Even school children are taught the “facts of life” in the schools. They are supposed to know that when the male seed contacts the egg in the woman’s womb a new human being is begun in the embryo stage. This is natural and is connected to that which is perishable. Still, the same thing is true in the spiritual realm.

When the sperma or seed of God [Logos] enters into us, a new man or a new creation is begun in embryo form. Even though it is not clear what we will be, we know that IF the “Incorruptible SEED”comes to maturity that we will be the same species as the original Logos. The seed contains within itself everything necessary to re-produce itself IF IT CAN BE PLANTED IN GOOD SOIL. The “kind of soil” and “the growing conditions” are the only variable given in the parable about the Kingdom in Matthew 13.

As in the natural, so also in the spiritual, what is happening on the inside, in the womb, is out of sight, hidden, a mystery, and until it comes to full birth we only have the original Son as a type or pattern of this son. Since this “man-child or son” is a corporate son, made up of the whole company of overcomers, or what we are referring to the “manifested sons of God” we could call this “the birth” or “the unveiling” or “the revelation” of the sons of God. All of creation is waiting for this tremendous event.

Several other Kingdom truths are connected to this truth to give dimension or height and depth to our understanding. For example; John 3: 5] Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. [6] “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. [7] “Do not marvel that I said to you, `You must be born again.’

Obviously, it is the Holy Spirit that overshadows us as He did with Mary. It is the Holy Spirit that ministers [plants] the Logos, the sperma, the Seed of God so it can take root in us. God’s purpose for this “seed” is for it to grow until it produces “Christ In Us.” That means His full Life AND His Essence. The Holy Spirit plants the Sperma of God [the Logos] in us to produce many “sons of the Logos.” These ARE the “many sons” that He will bring to Glory.

Since man has been appointed to tremendous responsibility in the Eternal Kingdom Government of God, it is just reasonable that man must endure tremendous preparation in every area of his life. Even though God has prepared a few people in every generation to rule with Him on His throne, I am calling the present age the “Kingdom Generation” because there is a new consciousness of His Government and a new focus upon the “Experience of Sonship.”

Heb 12:7 It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? [8] But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. [9] Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live? [10] For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, that we may share His holiness.

The casual believer who is obedient to elders and does all the church activities still cannot be considered a “son” if he refuses the discipline of God. There are many illegitimate children in the church pews every time the doors are open for meetings. Of course these are all “saved by the grace of God” but they will lose their inheritance in the Kingdom of God.

Christ Jesus has become the sovereign Head of a whole new species of persons who will make up His body and rule with Him over all the works of God’s hands. Are these “a new species” because they believe something about Jesus? No! They are a “new species” because they have the Eternal Word of God [Logos], “the Divine seed”, growing and maturing in them. The corporate “new species” is Christ AND His body. We should realize that Christ Jesus is a new and completely different species than ever lived upon this earth. He IS the Word [Logos] made flesh in the body of man. He is of a new and different creation. He was NOT created but He is of a new creation. A mingling of God and man! To be joined to Him, to become one flesh, we must be of His same species. There cannot be one species in the Head and another species in the body! Therefore, the same Word [Logos] (that Divine Seed) that formed Jesus in the womb of Mary must be in us and growing to maturity. This is how Christ is formed in us AND how we are formed into His body!

The “old man” or the “old I” can never be joined to Christ Jesus or have any part in Him. Only that which is from God and is of God can return to God to dwell in His Divine Presence. Therefore, the Eternal Word [Logos] must become flesh in us, as His Seed, coming to maturity.

Everything in God’s creation comes to maturity before it dies and returns to the earth, EXCEPT the church. Maturity is treated as an option in the church. Thank God that “forgiveness of sins and salvation is by the grace of God” or multitudes who consider themselves to be Christians would end up in hell. However, it is very clear that preparing for the Kingdom Government of God requires constant discipline and growth. Not in knowledge but in character and into the measure of the stature that belongs to the FULNESS of Christ. This is experiential growth that results in Christ, the Eternal Word of God, being formed in us!

The “Divine Conception” of His Seed / Word in us is the single most important thing that MUST take place during our stay on earth. If the present religious evangelism doesn’t produce this embryo of His Seed / Life / Word in us it has failed. However, it is God who draws and He knows who to draw. Evangelizing people whom God is NOT drawing is fruitless. When we discover the Truth of Sonship we understand why the New Earth will be so full of people who will need to be “governed.” God’s Purpose is to “multiply Himself” through His Manifested sons! This is a glorious truth!!!

The “SEED” is Christ, who IS the Word of God. The Word of God became flesh in Jesus Christ. Now the “Word / Logos” is synonymous with “Christ.” Both the Word / Logos is Seed and Christ IS Seed but both are the same Seed. Why? Because Christ and the Word / Logos are synonymous.

Rev 19:13] And He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and His name is called The Word of God.

Gal 3:16] Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as referring to many, but rather to one, “And to your seed,” that is, Christ.

Acts 3: 25] “It is you who are the sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with your fathers, saying to Abraham, `AND IN YOUR SEED ALL THE FAMILIES OF THE EARTH SHALL BE BLESSED.’

Here we learn that “ALL THE FAMILIES OF THE EARTH SHALL BE BLESSED” through Christ Who Is The Seed.

The “seed” that is going to reproduce the Sons of God is not “many seeds” but just one “SEED” and that is CHRIST, The Logos, the Eternal Word of God. The question we are presenting is this; Will all these other seeds, that are being planted every Sunday, ever produce the “sons of God?” By now we all know that ONLY the Word of the Kingdom will produce the “sons of the Kingdom.”

Jesus reveals some of the secrets of the Kingdom in the parables. In Matthew 13 He shares the parable about the sower who went forth to sow seeds in various places and what the results were. When His disciples asked Him to explain the parable He reveals that the “SEED being sown” is the “Word [Logos] of the Kingdom.” This is very important because many think anything they sow is proper seed that will produce a harvest. However, too much of what is sown from the pulpit is just more weeds.

Mat 13: 18] “Hear then the parable of the sower. [19] “When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one on whom seed was sown beside the road.

The “SEED” that this “sower” sowed IS the “Word of the Kingdom.” The place it is “sown” is in the heart. In the rest of the parable He defines the different kinds of soil / hearts that will produce nothing. He also defines the soil / heart that will produce 30 / 60 or 100 fold.

Then Jesus tells another parable that is related to this one about the sower but focuses upon what the devil sows to hinder the growth of the “SEED.” Then the disciples asked Him to explain this parable and Jesus enlarges upon both parables and identifies another “SOWER” who now sows a different seed.

Mat 13:36 Then He left the multitudes, and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.” [37] And He answered and said, “The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man, [38] and the field is the world; and as for the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one; [39] and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels.

From the first parable we see the sower sows the “Word of the Kingdom.” This “SEED” produces the “sons of the Kingdom.” We [the church] have been given the commission to sow the “Word of the Kingdom.” Now the “SON OF MAN” comes along to sow this “GOOD SEED” into the field that is the world. Then He identifies who the “GOOD SEED” is. These are the “sons of the Kingdom.” These “sons of the Kingdom” then are sown by the “Son of Man” into the world to bring forth the final harvest for the end of the age. The reapers for this harvest are the angels. The first thing they reap are the tares (persons) that the devil has sown and they are burned. Then all stumbling blocks (persons) will be gathered up and cast out of the Kingdom. These are those (persons) who commit lawlessness. The angels will cast these (persons) into the furnace of fire also where they will have a surprise waiting.

Mat 13: 43] “Then THE RIGHTEOUS WILL SHINE FORTH AS THE SUN in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.

When we see all the religious activity present everywhere, all the new programs put in place on a regular basis, all the Christian concerts, the faith explosion conferences, all the new books and such a variety of religious programs on TV, we may wonder how much actual “Kingdom seed” has been planted. Unless this Divine Seed, the Logos / Christ, which is the Life of God that “saves us” has come into us and taken root, what really has been accomplished? Much of all this religious activity is just “dead works” because they impart no Life.

The Word of The Kingdom, The Eternal Logos, Christ In Us is either growing and overcoming the weeds the devil has planted and are choking them out OR the weeds the devil has sown are growing and chocking out the Word of the Kingdom that was sown in our hearts.

It seems that too much “weed seed” that is preached from the pulpit is designed to bring the old man, the “Big I” to maturity and to make the carnal person acceptable to the church and after they die to be acceptable to God. Those who stand in the pulpit, in many places, are actually doing the devil’s work of sowing the tares. He probably doesn’t object!

The “voice of the weeds” is saying that God loves you just like you are and God treats all His children the same. That all His children will sit on His lap, on His Throne, and rule with Him. That all born again believers will be caught up when Jesus returns to earth. The only thing that separates us from the world system is what we believe about Jesus. There is no end to what the “sowers of weeds” are proclaiming as “the gospel.” The “proclaimers of weeds” are so numerous and so loud that the “preachers of the righteous Seed” cannot be heard. The “weed messages” are accepted as “the gospel” while the gospel of the Kingdom is considered as a false gospel.

When we mention “ruling with Christ” the carnally minded will immediately wonder how many persons will be under me that I can rule over? The Purpose of the Gospel of the Kingdom is to bring all men under the absolute sovereignty of Christ and His Eternal Government. The carnal thought of one man ruling over another man is ruled out in the Kingdom. The “servant of all” is the key to the administration of the Kingdom. The Father will become the ALL IN ALL!
