RECOGNIZING THE FATHER AND HIS KINGDOM

MAT 5:16] "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

MAT 5:44] "But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you [45] in order that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. [46] "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax-gatherers do the same? [47] "And if you greet your brothers only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? [48] "Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

MATH 6:6] "But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will repay you. [7] "And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition, as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words. [8] "Therefore do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need, before you ask Him. [9] "Pray, then, in this way: `Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. [10] `Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done,

MT 6:14 "For if you forgive men for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. [15] "But if you do not forgive men, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.

MAT 6:17] "But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face [18] so that you may not be seen fasting by men, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you.

MAT 6:26] "Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? [27] "And which of you by being anxious can add a single cubit to his life's span? [28] "And why are you anxious about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, [29] yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory did not clothe himself like one of these. [30] "But if God so arrays the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more do so for you, O men of little faith? [31] "Do not be anxious then, saying, `What shall we eat?' or `What shall we drink?' or `With what shall we clothe ourselves?' [32] "For all these things the Gentiles eagerly seek; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. [33] "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.

MAT 7:11] "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him! [12] "Therefore, however you want people to treat you, so treat them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

MAT 7:21] "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.

MAT 10:29] "Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. [30] "But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. [31] "Therefore do not fear; you are of more value than many sparrows. [32] "Everyone therefore who shall confess Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. [33] "But whoever shall deny Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.

MT 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, "I praise Thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that Thou didst hide these things from the wise and intelligent and didst reveal them to babes. [26] "Yes, Father, for thus it was well-pleasing in Thy sight. [27] "All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son, except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father, except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.

MAT 12:48] But He answered the one who was telling Him and said, "Who is My mother and who are My brothers?" [49] And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, "Behold, My mother and My brothers! [50] "For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother

MAT 15:12] Then the disciples came and said to Him, "Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this statement?" [13] But He answered and said, "Every plant which My heavenly Father did not plant shall be rooted up. [14] "Let them alone; they are blind guides of the blind. And if a blind man guides a blind man, both will fall into a pit."

MAT 18:19] "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. [20] "For where two or three have gathered together in My name, there I am in their midst."

MAT 18:34] "And his lord, moved with anger, handed him over to the torturers until he should repay all that was owed him. [35] "So shall My heavenly Father also do to you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from your heart."

MARK 8:38] "For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels."

MARK 11:25] "And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your transgressions. [26] ["But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions."]

LK 6:27 "But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, [28] bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. [29] "Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either. [30] "Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back. [31] "And just as you want people to treat you, treat them in the same way. [32] "And if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. [33] "And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. [34] "And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, in order to receive back the same amount. [35] "But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men. [36] "Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. [37] "And do not judge and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned. [38] "Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they will pour into your lap. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return."

LK 10:21 At that very time He rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, and said, "I praise Thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that Thou didst hide these things from the wise and intelligent and didst reveal them to babes. Yes, Father, for thus it was well-pleasing in Thy sight. [22] "All things have been handed over to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him."

LUKE 11:13] "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?"

LUKE 12:30] "For all these things the nations of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that you need these things. [31] "But seek for His kingdom, and these things shall be added to you. [32] "Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom. [33] "Sell your possessions and give to charity; make yourselves purses which do not wear out, an unfailing treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near, nor moth destroys. [34] "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

LUKE 22:[26] "But not so with you, but let him who is the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as the servant. [27] "For who is greater, the one who reclines at the table, or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at the table? But I am among you as the one who serves. [28] "And you are those who have stood by Me in My trials; [29] and just as My Father has granted Me a kingdom, I grant you [30] that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

LUKE 22:41] And He withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and He knelt down and began to pray, [42] saying, "Father, if Thou art willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Thine be done." [43] Now an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him.

LUKE 23:34] But Jesus was saying, "Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing."

LUKE 24:49] "And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high."

JN 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. [15] John bore witness of Him, and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said, `He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.'" [16] For of His fulness we have all received, and grace upon grace. [17] For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. [18] No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten God, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.

JN 3:31 "He who comes from above is above all, he who is of the earth is from the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. [32] "What He has seen and heard, of that He bears witness; and no man receives His witness. [33] "He who has received His witness has set his seal to this, that God is true. [34] "For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measure. [35] "The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. [36] "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

JOHN 4:21] Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe Me, an hour is coming when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, shall you worship the Father. [22] "You worship that which you do not know; we worship that which we know, for salvation is from the Jews. [23] "But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. [24] "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

JOHN 5:17] But He answered them, "My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working." [18] For this cause therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.

JN 5:19 Jesus therefore answered and was saying to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner. [20] "For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing; and greater works than these will He show Him, that you may marvel. [21] "For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whom He wishes. [22] "For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, [23] in order that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. [24] "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. [25] "Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear shall live. [26] "For just as the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself; [27] and He gave Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man.

JOHN 5:36] "But the witness which I have is greater than that of John; for the works which the Father has given Me to accomplish, the very works that I do, bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me. [37] "And the Father who sent Me, He has borne witness of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. [38] "And you do not have His word abiding in you, for you do not believe Him whom He sent.

JOHN 6:37] "All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. [38] "For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. [39] "And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. [40] "For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him, may have eternal life; and I Myself will raise him up on the last day."

JOHN 6:43] Jesus answered and said to them, "Do not grumble among yourselves. [44] "No one can come to Me, unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day. [45] "It is written in the prophets, `AND THEY SHALL ALL BE TAUGHT OF GOD.' Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me. [46] "Not that any man has seen the Father, except the One who is from God; He has seen the Father. [47] "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life. [48] "I am the bread of life.

JOHN 6:57] "As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also shall live because of Me. [58] "This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate, and died, he who eats this bread shall live forever."

JOHN 6:63] "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life. [64] "But there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was that would betray Him. [65] And He was saying, "For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me, unless it has been granted him from the Father."

JOHN 8:18] "I am He who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of Me." [19] And so they were saying to Him, "Where is Your Father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither Me, nor My Father; if you knew Me, you would know My Father also."

JOHN 8:25] And so they were saying to Him, "Who are You?" Jesus said to them, "What have I been saying to you from the beginning? [26] "I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you, but He who sent Me is true; and the things which I heard from Him, these I speak to the world." [27] They did not realize that He had been speaking to them about the Father. [28] Jesus therefore said, "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me. [29] "And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him."

JOHN 8:54] Jesus answered, "If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who glorifies Me, of whom you say, `He is our God'; [55] and you have not come to know Him, but I know Him; and if I say that I do not know Him, I shall be a liar like you, but I do know Him, and keep His word.

JOHN 10:14] "I am the good shepherd; and I know My own, and My own know Me, [15] even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. [16] "And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they shall hear My voice; and they shall become one flock with one shepherd. [17] "For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. [18] "No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father."

JOHN 10:29] "My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. [30] "I and the Father are one."

JN 10:31 The Jews took up stones again to stone Him. [32] Jesus answered them, "I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?" [33] The Jews answered Him, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God." [34] Jesus answered them, "Has it not been written in your Law, `I SAID, YOU ARE GODS'? [35] "If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), [36] do you say of Him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, `You are blaspheming,' because I said, `I am the Son of God'? [37] "If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; [38] but if I do them, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father."

MATH 12:25] "He who loves his life loses it; and he who hates his life in this world shall keep it to life eternal. [26] "If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall My servant also be; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

JOHN 12:49] "For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me commandment, what to say, and what to speak. [50] "And I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me."

JOHN 14:5] Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?" [6] Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me. [7] "If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him." [8] Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us." [9] Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how do you say, `Show us the Father'? [10] "Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. [11] "Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me; otherwise believe on account of the works themselves. [12] "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to the Father. [13] "And whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. [14] "If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. [15] "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. [16] "And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; [17] that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you, and will be in you.

JOHN 14:20] "In that day you shall know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. [21] "He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me; and he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him, and will disclose Myself to him." [22] Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, what then has happened that You are going to disclose Yourself to us, and not to the world?" [23] Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make Our abode with him. [24] "He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me.

JOHN 14:26] "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. [27] "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. [28] "You heard that I said to you, `I go away, and I will come to you.' If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I. [29] "And now I have told you before it comes to pass, that when it comes to pass, you may believe. [30] "I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me; [31] but that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave Me commandment, even so I do.

JN 15:1 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. [2] "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it, that it may bear more fruit.

JOHN 15:26] "When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witness of Me, [27] and you will bear witness also, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

JOHN 16:23] "And in that day you will ask Me no question. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you shall ask the Father for anything, He will give it to you in My name. [24] "Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask, and you will receive, that your

JN 16:25 "These things I have spoken to you in figurative language; an hour is coming when I will speak no more to you in figurative language, but will tell you plainly of the Father. [26] "In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I will request the Father on your behalf; [27] for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from the Father. [28] "I came forth from the Father, and have come into the world; I am leaving the world again, and going to the Father."

JN 17:1 These things Jesus spoke; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify Thy Son, that the Son may glorify Thee, [2] even as Thou gavest Him authority over all mankind, that to all whom Thou hast given Him, He may give eternal life. [3] "And this is eternal life, that they may know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent. [4] "I glorified Thee on the earth, having accomplished the work which Thou hast given Me to do. [5] "And now, glorify Thou Me together with Thyself, Father, with the glory which I had with Thee before the world was. [6] "I manifested Thy name to the men whom Thou gavest Me out of the world; Thine they were, and Thou gavest them to Me, and they have kept Thy word. [7] "Now they have come to know that everything Thou hast given Me is from Thee; [8] for the words which Thou gavest Me I have given to them; and they received them, and truly understood that I came forth from Thee, and they believed that Thou didst send Me.

JOHN 17:11---Holy Father, keep them in Thy name, the name which Thou hast given Me, that they may be one, even as We are.

JOHN 17:20] "I do not ask in behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; [21] that they may all be one; even as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be in Us; that the world may believe that Thou didst send Me. [22] "And the glory which Thou hast given Me I have given to them; that they may be one, just as We are one; [23] I in them, and Thou in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, that the world may know that Thou didst send Me, and didst love them, even as Thou didst love Me. [24] "Father, I desire that they also, whom Thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am, in order that they may behold My glory, which Thou hast given Me; for Thou didst love Me before the foundation of the world. [25] "O righteous Father, although the world has not known Thee, yet I have known Thee; and these have known that Thou didst send Me; [26] and I have made Thy name known to them, and will make it known; that the love wherewith Thou didst love Me may be in them, and I in them."

JOHN 20:17] Jesus said to her, "Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren, and say to them, `I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.'"

JOHN 17:21] Jesus therefore said to them again, "Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you." [22] And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. [23] "If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained."

1CO 15:20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. [21] For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. [22] For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive. [23] But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ's at His coming, [24] then comes the end, when He delivers up the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power. [25] For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. [26] The last enemy that will be abolished is death. [27] For HE HAS PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET. But when He says, "All things are put in subjection," it is evident that He is excepted who put all things in subjection to Him. [28] And when all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, that God may be all in all.

2CO 1:3 Blessed be B [4] who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

GAL 1:1 Paul, an apostle (not sent from men, nor through the agency of man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead), [2] and all the brethren who are with me, to the churches of Galatia: [3] Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ, [4] who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, [5] to whom be the glory forevermore. EPH 1:15 For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you, and your love for all the saints, [16] do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers; [17] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. [18] I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, [19] and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might [20] which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, [21] far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come. [22] And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, [23] which is His body, the fulness of Him who fills all in all.

GAL 2:18] for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.

EPH 3:14 For this reason, I bow my knees before the Father, [15] from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, [16] that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man; [17] so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, [18] may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, [19] and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fulness of God.

EPH 4:4] There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; [5] one Lord, one faith, one baptism, [6] one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. [7] But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.

COL 3:17] And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

1 THES 3:13] so that He may establish your hearts unblamable in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints.

HEB 1:4 "THOU ART MY SON, TODAY I HAVE BEGOTTEN THEE"? HEB 1:5 And again, "I WILL BE A FATHER TO HIM AND HE SHALL BE A SON TO ME"? HEB 1:6 And when He again brings the first-born into the world, He says, "AND LET ALL THE ANGELS OF GOD WORSHIP HIM."

1 PET 1:14] As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, [15] but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; [16] because it is written, "YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY." [17] And if you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each man's work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay upon earth; [18] knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, [19] but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ. [20] For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you [21] who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

2 PET 1:17] For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, "This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased"--

1 JOHN 1:1 What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we beheld and our hands handled, concerning the Word of Life-- [2] and the life was manifested, and we have seen and bear witness and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us-- [3] what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, that you also may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.

1 JOHN 2:15] Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. [16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. [17] And the world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God abides forever.

REV 3:21] `He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
